Mobile payment, couchsurfing for food, and gambling with news! All innovative ideas that have been generated on 3DayStartup Amsterdam. On November 18th through 20th 45 (student) entrepreneurs have gathered to commit their enitre weekend and sleep to developing their concept.
Teams were formed based on the most popular ideas. Blood, sweat and tears have been shed in order to make it to the final pitch on Sunday night. A panel of reknown investors has listened to the pitches, provided feedback and in some cases decided to invest. The Amsterdam Center for Entrepreneurship sponsored the locations and means to cover the budget.
All over the world 3 Day Startup events are being held, which resulted in 14 companies collectively raising $4 million in investment. The success of the concept lies within the selectioncriteria. Participants are selected based on their background and motivation. 3DayStartup brings together entrepreneurs from different disciplines and creates tuns of synergy by adding investors and coaches to the recipe. So far 3DayStartup weekends have been organised in New York, Austin, Miami, Barcelona, Maastricht, Aachen, Berlin, Paris, Shanghai and many more to come.
